Belfast "GoesGlobal" is a platform for promoting news,
events, products and services in Belfast Northern Ireland.
Kickstarted by the Belfast Chamber of Trade & Commerce in 2001 / 2002,
and with a visual "Cityscape" provided by Belfast City Council, the project pioneered visual search and online mapping. The project has since benefited from a number of enhancements, in part sponsored by business in the Greater Belfast area.
Continued and ongoing development now enables the project to provide a platform for web site applications as well as content. The system is driven by OneKana™, enabling members to develop, amongst other things, business to business networks, client networks, co-promotional reward schemes, and the web site applications to enhance them and the platform itself.
